"Extended" Tax Credit Really ISN'T

Let the confusion begin.

Lots of eager agents have thrown posts out on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels today claiming the $8,000 First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit has been extended. Prospective buyers, do not get excited. What passed in the Senate today was an amendment allowing people already under contract by April 30, 2010 (note that's a date in the past) to have until September 30, 2010, to get to the closing table.

Agents, all this means for you is to continue to focus on the basics. Take exquisite care of your past clients, customers, and your sphere. Provide value. Care about people. And keep prospecting.
