Be Safer. Use credit (not debit) cards for travel

Here is an article in the Wall Street Journal that highlights how hotels are targeted for theft of credit card information. 

The reason it is important to use credit cards instead of debit is that your liability for such theft is limited (usually to less than $100).  A thief in possession of your debit card can drain the entire contents of the account it is linked to.
