What is your measure of success? Is it the net profit you show at the end of a year? Is it the number of families you've moved? Is it the amount of investments you've accumulated?

In my view, my measure of success is the quality of life I am able to achieve through focused hard work, service to others, and balance. Nowhere is this more strongly reflected than in my loved ones. My greatest joy is to share my sons with friends and colleagues and have them remark, "What fine young men you're raising."

One of my dear friends and a coaching client, Cynthia Burke, recently shared with me a photo of she and her Mom on the 4th of July. Cynthia gets the concept of balance. After reading a recent Daily Motivation I sent about the movie, Mamma Mia!, she decided to take her Mom to see it at a lovely theater with couches and food service! That, my friends, is leveraging success in business to produce an outstanding quality of life.
